“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” John 8:36, The Bible
Who We Are
We are a fellowship of Bible believing Christians meeting together in the villages of Glenelg and Inverinate. We meet for worship twice on a Sunday and have a range of activities throughout the week.
We are a congregation of the Free Church of Scotland, and a member of the Presbytery of Skye and Wester Ross.
As a group, we are made up of all ages, from different backgrounds, and extend a warm welcome to anybody who would like to join us at our services.
Our name ‘Free Church Glenelg and Inverinate’ reflects our belief that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to freedom. Although we are an established congregation of the Free Church we have been blessed over the last few years by growth in our congregation, which has resulted in a freshness and vigour in our desire to reach out with the good news of Jesus to our community.
What We Believe
We believe that we have good news. That good news is not a lucky find or a fortuitous event. It is a person. Jesus Christ. Knowing that He came, lived, died, rose and reigns for us is good news. It is light in our darkness. It transforms our joys and our sorrows, our prosperity and austerity, our friendships and fall-outs, our past, present and future.
We believe the Bible to be God’s Holy and inspired Word; telling us of God’s interaction with humanity, through the ages to the present day. We believe it continuously points to the person of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour and calls us to live for Him and, with the help of the Holy Spirit to serve Him each day, in our community, our country and our world.
